Developing New Ways For You to Manage Through Life, Build Confidence and Create Meaningful Change: Free Intro Session

I am an Integrative Arts Psychotherapist and UKCP & HCPC registered with an enhanced DBS. I offer one-to-one therapy, and I work in a trauma-informed way that is safegentle and compassionate using humanistic, psychoanalytical and psychodynamic theories. I have experience in the NHS with eating disorders, sexual abuse, trauma, chronic anxiety and depression. I work from central Milton Keynes (face-to-face) and online.

Integrative psychotherapy and counselling anya amrith art forms the mind mental health support and awareness and so the adventure begins

I offer weekly 50 minute sessions in a private, safe, non-judgemental space. These one-to-one sessions enable you to explore any challenges you may be facing personally; at work, home or in your relationships.

Maybe you feel different from your peers, and this may be a feeling that reaches as far back as childhood. It may feel like something is holding you back, or perhaps you can’t feel yourself really living. As stress and anxiety increases, coping mechanisms get stronger and these may be negatively impacting your life. Parts of you may feel lost, empty or disconnected whilst you function through your daily life. Talking can be hard to do, even with those around you. Together we can work to understand and work with the different parts of yourself, in a way that is supportive and non-judgemental, to ensure that you are heard so that lasting change can happen. Real and meaningful transformation happens over a period of time, and it’s important to me that change is sustainable and not superficial.

I work in a relational way using humanistic, psychoanalytical and psychodynamic theories. Symbol and metaphor are used to gently identify experiences that words are difficult to define. This involves talking in addition to using tools such as postcards/objects, writing, marks on paper, sound (such as a song you identify with), and dreams. You may just want to talk. The process is about empowering you. We can slowly develop new ways for you to manage through life and build self-efficacy.

Private-psychotherapy-Turweston-Village-Stables-Cafe-mental-health-counselling-wellbeingI run a private practice and have extensive experience within the NHS and voluntary sector. I support adults and young people impacted by eating disorders, ADHD, autism, stressdepression or anxiety; and people who struggle with self-esteem, panic attacks, intrusive thoughts, body image, self-hatred and self-harm. I work with people from a wide range of backgrounds. Neurodivergence, diversity and inclusion is important to me.

How Can Integrative Arts Psychotherapy Help You?
bullet point Integrative Arts Psychotherapy A way to communicate without words

Sometimes it’s easier to SHOW someone how you feel. Words may not describe what’s going on inside. I work with you to understand these thoughts and emotions. I give clients a choice of materials to work with, and we work gently at a pace that suits you. The process is about communication and not output. Simple marks, words on paper or choosing a postcard that speaks to you can be extremely impactful.

Being alone can be difficult, it may bring up many things that are hard to sit with. Perhaps you have already tried lots of different ways to cope with negative thoughts, but nothing seems to be working. By working together as a collaborative approach, we can look at the difficulties you face and work on ways to manage that are individual to you.
