Wellbeing, CPD and Art Therapy Training for Adults and Young People
Are you are charity, company or school (SENCO department) looking to help community members, employees, professionals or students with their mental health and wellbeing? Perhaps you require specialist training in neurodiversity or psychology. Studies show if you increase creativity, anxiety decreases, and insight experience grows (Study: The Neural Mechanism Underlying Cognitive and Emotional Processes in Creativity, 2018).
What does this mean for members of a group, organisation, or school?
Aiding people to manage anxiety, avoid burnout and chronic stress are essential to healthy functioning in our daily lives. By showing people how to regulate their emotions and by introducing short, creative activities, individuals can become empowered in their own lives and welfare. Creativity also aids people in learning and retaining information, as well as making the process more enjoyable and interactive for everyone!
Training sessions with two NHS experienced professional psychotherapists
In-person and online training sessions are available for you to book and customise. Myself and my colleague, Miranda Jones, are Integrative Arts Psychotherapists (MA) with experience within the NHS, charity and private sector. We can deliver a short-course (approximately 2 hours) or a day’s training on the following areas:
- Art Therapy for Your Wellbeing
- Supporting adults and young people with Neurodiversity (Autism, PDA, ADHD, Dyspraxia, Dyslexia)
- Racism and Intersectionality
- Emotion Regulation: Tools and Psychoeducation
- Trauma Focused Training
Our training sessions are ideal for adults and young people, and we tailor all training to a particular audience. We utilise our psychotherapy experience and training to provide education and resources. We can aid people with skills to use in caring professions, such as carers and teaching.
Organisations we have done training for
Our experience includes training sessions within the NHS, Oxford City Council, with charity organisations such as Mind and local charities such as Time4Support. We have also supported businesses looking to inspire and grow the mindset of employees and offer staff training.
